The Inter IIT Tech Meet 11.0 (an annual technology competition among the IITs) was held during 10-12 Feb 2023 and I was part of the Bombay76 (IITB) contingent as a member of ‘The Vital Extraction Challenge’ healthcare problem statement by Cloudphysician. This problem required us to ideate and implement an AI-based approach to extract the values and graphs of the vitals such as Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate etc. from images containing ICU monitor screens. Our team of 8 students emerged victorious and we won Gold as our solution stood out amongst all the IITs with emphasis on the accuracy of the info extracted by our model, inference time of the pipeline and novelty of approach. One of the most important highlight for me was how we solved different components of a fresh problem and put together a winning solution in just a couple of weeks as a team! You can view our presentation below.

I had contested for the position of Head of the Data Analytics and Visualisation (DAV) Team, IIT Bombay in Summer 2022. As part of the procedure for selection, I had done few assignments. One of them was performing Exploratory Data Analysis on the Barcelona 2017 Accidents Dataset. You can view my presentation for the same below. There was another one on application of ML on Credit Card Default Dataset. You can view notebooks for both the assignments here.

As part of the course ‘Programming for Data Science’ at IITB, I had done a project on ‘Application of Machine Learning to predict Terrorism from politico-socio-economic indicators’ in Nov 2020. You can view the project report, datafiles, code notebooks here. I had also presented this work at the Virtual Research Symposium by Students (VRSS) conducted by the IITB’s Undergraduate Academic Council (UGAC) in Feb 2021. You can view the presentation below.

As part of the course ‘Multiscale Materials Informatics, Discovery & Design’, I worked in a team on a ML project ‘Yield Prediction in Semiconductor Manufacturing’. The final presentation is embedded below.
